We believe in cider, we love cider, always have done always will do. Cider is part of our national heritage, it’s a cause for celebration. Wanting everyone to enjoy cider as much as we do is probably a bit too big a challenge but if we can help a few people to try and enjoy it then that’s a decent start...

Can from Asda. Crystal clear and pale yellow in colour with a green tinge and moderate carbonation. Sweet apple juice, a hint of artificial sweetener and a gentle finish. Easy, undemanding drinking.

Pale golden colour with no head. Aroma and flavour have soft sweet almost buttery apples. Slightly sweet but not sickly.

Can from beet. Pours clear golden. Nose is sweet apple, pear, wood. Palate is more crisp apple, some sweet undertones, pear finish. Quite nice

500ml bottle @ The Wolf, Birmingham. Pours clear pale gold, sparkling. Aroma has a soft apple fruit sweetness. Taste is clean, light, smooth, easy-drinking with a nice Medium character. Typically decent Sheppy’s quality.

Bottle at home, 10/06/17. Clear light golden copper with a fast collapsing white cap. Nose is crisp apple, sweet notes, toffee, apple syrup, straw. Taste comprises light smoke, tangy apple, apple pie, caramel, light tannins, base funk. Medium bodied, fine carbonation with a bitter sweet drying close. Decent cider.

Bottle shared at craft beer Co Islington. Many thanks me. Very pale yellow green, fine white head. Aroma is semi sweet pear, apple, sugars, . Flavour is composed of semi sweet pear, apple, plastic, pear fruit, faint plastic. Palate is semi sweet sugars, crisp finish. Ok. .

500ml bottle from Hole in the Wall, Darlington. Yellowy golden colour, white foam head that dissipates away and nose of fruity apple, oak, barnyard. Taste is mellow apple, fruity, bittersweet, with woody oak, leathery, barnyard funk, and some light tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry oaky finish. Nicely drinkable.

500ml bottle from Hole in the Wall, Darlington. Pale yellow colour, sparkling, no lasting head. Nose of light apple and some funk. Taste is juicy apple, sweetish, also slightly sour, funky, with citric & green apple notes. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tangy finish. Easy drinking.

Can shared in London / big thanks to Fergus. Pours clear pale yellownwith a foamy, white head. The nose has some jammy, citrus, ripe lemon, white grape, cake crust. Medium sweet flavour with ripe apple character, some sugary apple sauce. Medium bodied, soft. Sweet finish, with more ripe apple character, mellow citrus accents. Good stuff.
