A: rich malty, dark caramel, bready, bit fruity, burned sugar. T: dark malts, burned sugar, caramel, dark bread crust, medium body and low to medium carbonation, enjoyed but not as “dark strong lager”.

A: malty, citrus, toast, grapefruits, tangerine, bit pine resin, tropical fruits. T: medium malty backbone, bit orange, weak pine, bit tropical fruits, toast, some caramel, citrus, taste is bit weak compared to aroma yet still for “Heineken beer” not bad, medium body and carbonation, partially enjoyed.

Can from a local off-license, a couple of doors along from the Hart & Spool, Borehamwood. Cloudy straw-blonde with a small head. Essentially a heavy lemony shandy with little alcohol content evident. Has a sweetened citrus flavour.

Can from a local shop near to the Hart & Spool, Borehamwood. Golden with a small head and a light carbonation. This beer has quite a light smoothish texture for a 5% brew, certainly has a nice mouthfeel. As for its taste it has a mild malty-sweetness and an very general lager taste.
