Draught. Hazy yellow colour with a white head. Sweet orange peel aroma. The flavor is also full of orange and orange peel. Some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Very pink, creamy head. Good lace. Deep red body like red wine. Very full aroma of cherries. Just like De Cam or Cantillon’s Kriekenlambiek. Lightly bitter, moderately sour initial flavour. Lightly sour finish. Very full mouthfeel of cherries. Quite soft, like drinking cherry-wine. Beer of the gods and godesses. Hooray for Scottish & Newcastle: a big concern with fine tastebuds!

375 ml bottle, corked champagne style. In France. Brown colour, large head. Aroma of barnyard, ensilage and red wine vinegar. Sour & sweet flavour with notes of claret and red wine vinegar. The recipe includes maize (corn) and ascorbic acid. A drinkable gueuze, but I’m not impressed.

Draught (!?) (Nearly) red-cyclamen-pink head, very whipped-cream like at the beginning, then falling in, leaving some rings. Fully hazy deep red beer. Parsley, freshly cut with cherries, cherry stones, speculoos (hard gingerbread). Very tart, sour cherries, again some faint backlash of speculoos. Lipsmacking fruit, sourbite, full fruit filling the texture. A GREAT, SUPERB new kriek - by S&N. Eat your heart out, CAMRA brethren.

Hazy golden color. Nice aroma, some horseblanket, but more sweet gueuze. Quite sweet for a tart gueuze, bit fruity. Sparkling at the start, sticky in the finish.

330ml bottle from Franglais, Calais. Copper colour with thin off white head. Some farmyard aroma, some sourness and a bit of sweatiness. Some biscuit and then sweetness in mouth with caramel. Then sour finish with some lemon. What a bizarre drink. Not unpleasant but just a tad sweet I guess

Deep cherry red color, small reddish head, some lace. Sweet cherry candy aroma. Thin and watery. Sugary with artifical cherry flavor. Lacks acidity. Anyhow this is not the worst of "fake krieks".
