(500ml bottle from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours lightly hazed dark gold with a small white head. Aroma is nicely bright in fruity acidity with lemon and underripe fresh peaches to the fore, some apricot vibe, overtones of oaked white wine butteriness from the barrels, some woody light funk. Flavour is lightly to moderately tart, dry and crisp overall with a real white wine quality, soft peach and apricot, lemon peel and flesh, light grains, some drying wood, soft funk, bone dry mineral crispy soft fruit finish. Light bodied, soft crackle of carb. Not a typical lager, but has that lager body amidst the hallmarks of a nice BA wild ale.
