On tap. Pours a dark copper color with moderate head. Pretty much a malt forward beer with perhaps some soft honey notes. Not really much there, but not offensive and good with a burger and fries.

Dark amber, bright. Toasty, woody hop aroma. Sweet on the palate, hops are gentle. Malt is more caramel/toffee than toasty.

Opaque, pale tan sort of colour. Lots of grapefruit, itβs quite prominent. Good bitterness, and of course the citrus goes well with the base.

Straw, bright, minimal head. Estery nose with a bit of herbal hop. On the palate, some gentle acidity, esters, low bitterness, but it comes across like a mellow table beer, not a great one but solid.

This one has corn and rice in it. Straw colour, thin head. Bit of chill haze. Grainy, a bit of green apple. Low bitterness. Mainstream lager character, maybe a bit note body and sweetness.

473 ml can. Pours amber with full head. Aromas of fruit jelly and bready malts. Flavors of same, though malts are slightly crisper than a typical ale and finish is somewhat bitter. Still seems more like a lightly hopped pale ale. OK.

Poured from 473mL can. Cloudy orangey brown with small white head. Caramel malt, a bit of vegetal, definitely oxidized. Not a total drain pour, but wouldn't want the whole can.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Light amber colour, hazy, it looks slightly oxidized, compact head. Mild fruit, sweat, ; lean mouthfeel, strong body, with light residual sweetness; the malt provides some toasted notes, light cramel and toffee; the hopping is bold, not much brightness, but a good bitter punch.
Good, but rough.

473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of sweet dark fruit, sugary chocolate and light roasted malts. Flavor of same though fruit is more raspberry. Metallic and sweet. More like the jammy filling in a Black Forest cake than the cake itself.
