(Dusty) bottle, 355ml, enormous thanks Jonas! Mangled Ham 2026 tasting. Murky brown-black body, no head. Heavy oxidation, bit meaty, dried fruit and cocoa in the aroma. Very lean, dry taste, carob, roast, oxidation... well... this certainly dried and mellowed out. Vague dark malt tartness remains. I mean, it's fascinating to try, must have been brewed roughly 20 years ago, but is it's probably 15 years past its prime hahah. Impressively drinkable I have to say.

Bottle that Jonas picked up in Canada almost 20 years ago, cheers Jonas. Had this Friday 13th February at the Manglham 2nd Winter Tasting listening to Geese - Getting Killed. Jonas cooking Pasta Carbonara, it was fab'. There was a slight hiss as the bottle was opened. Pours almost black with no head, the aroma is very meaty, really meaty. Quite tangy and any sweetness has long since passed, alcohol is hardly noticeable, a little dusty old cupboard. Thanks so much Jonas for letting us drink a bit of history, however probably past its best.

Bottle from 2007, shared after Carbonara and strawberry cake with Marko, Fin, Loz and Jonas. Dark. Sherry cherry, licorice, vinegar, sweetness, bread. Actually rather light, and not undrinkable.

On tap at Woodfire Pizza, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is a bit dull, with bready malt and a touch of earthy hops. Flavour is rather dull on the hops, with barely any hop expression—just some bitterness—and bready malt. Pretty poor hop expression and balance. Not great, but drinkable… only just.

On tap at Woodfire Pizza, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma has lots of grassiness, some herbal notes, and bready malt. Flavour is clean, with lots of crunchy grassiness, straw, and biscuity malt. Finishes crunchy, grassy and herbal. It’s alright.

On tap. Pours a dark reddish mahogany with light head. Not really much there in either aroma or flavors; just a malty beverage with some notes of brown sugar and caramel. Drinkable and nothing really wrong for the style; just an uninspiring example.

On tap. Pours amber with moderate head. Aromas of pine and biscuity malts. Flavors of oily dank hops, bitter citrus and more biscuity malts. Hip overload for the base beer. Just comes across as oily and bitter.

Pale, slight haze, medium head. Light fruity hop, ferm seems not as clean, lacks bitterness, seems to miss the style.

473mL can. Pours black with tan head. Aroma full of bready malts and a touch of espresso. Flavour has toasted malts and a little bit of butter hops. Not bad.
