Very crisp and clear golden coloured body with a thick three centimetre tall off-white head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of grass and citrus fruits with a dash of candy and additional sweetness from caster sugar. Light to Medium-bodied; Rich biscuity and slightly grainy malt notes dominate here with a touch of citrus fruits and a very light dose of grassy notes from the hops and showing some small alpha acid bitterness. Aftertaste is fairly sweet with some stone fruits and citrus fruits bringing sweetness, but mainly just a honey and caster sugar sweetness with a touch of pine and herbal notes with a good balance of malt, especially near the end. Overall, a decent IPA that shows some supportive fruit elements, but not really as hoppy as I would have expected or showing enough alpha acids to make this worthwhile, in a world of IPAs. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Bend, Oregon on 29-March-2021 for US$1,84 sampled in my hotel room here in Arcata, California on 31-March-2021 after touring the Redwoods with my familly.
