473mL can, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out dank hops, some allium, and light piney. Flavour is dry but assertively hopped, with lots of piney hops, allium, earthiness, and dry bready malt. Good balance, with a drier malty finish and lingering bitterness. The hop expression isn't that fantastic -- there's some harsh edges and a bit of hopburn. Still, very good.

473ml can. (6.5% ABV) Pours a slightly hazy orange gold with plenty of floaties and a small, foamy, short lived, white head that laces. Mild aroma of caramel malt, orange, peach and floral hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, tangerine, peach, mango and piney hops in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Tasty and well balanced, but missing something.

Poured from 473mL can. Hazy blonde yellow with dissipating white head. Bit of a wheaty tartness with banana and mild passionfruit. On par with the mediocrity of the Love Buzz series.

Super hazy straw golden coloured body with a pretty large, three to four centimetre tall off-white and tan head. Aroma of citrus fruit - oranges, lemons and some nice grassiness with grapefruit and hay noticeable, too, along with alcohol. Medium to Full-bodied; Super rich citrus flavours at first with a bunch of grapefruit peel and sliced lemons noticeable and a kick of hay and flowers soon afterwards with a dry malt quality that almost makes this seem like a saison or even a pale/european lager in the second half, but the bitterness and pungency of the hops and especially the grapefruit kicks in. Aftertaste is deep and bittering throughout with a decent balance from some dry and pretty rich malt notes and the slightest hint of sweetness - seemingly from some fruit at the end, but the alcohol does come through, especially in the warmth at the end. Overall, a nice older school, dry and bitter IPA that shows it's Imperial Status through the bitterness and astringency on offer. A nice option for the style and while unfiltered, this is an old-school, bitter Imperial IPA - a great option to bring back with you in your suitcase, like I did from Vancouver, BC, Canada! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from DenMan Beer, Wine & Spirits in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 30-June-2022 for CA$4,61 sampled at my house back home in Washington on 17-July-2022.

Poured from 473mL can. Lightly hazed dull gold with small white head. Citrus and tropical hops with a touch of resin, chewy malt backing, touch of booze like most Head Bangers. Decent.

Poured from the tap @ HUB New West. Cloudy yellowy orange with small white head. A bit of strawberry, feint banana, and a small dose of acetic acid in there. Did not execute.

Can, Jaks Richmond. Peachy colour, no head. Typical love buzz kettle acidity, with a weird mix of flavours -the coconut, lemon and brown sugar are all there. It's not screaming cupcake, but call it a tart and I'm fine with it. Not the most cohesive of this series but I don't mind it.

Hazy, a bit dull. Medium head. Lots of hop, a bit burny, plenty of alcohol and not a ton of nuance. Some grapefruit but I'd prefer the hop expression to be clearer.

473mL can, pours a barely hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma has a nice bouquet of tropical stone fruits, some piney hops, light citrus, and a touch of chewy sweet malt. Flavour is quite aggressive and hoppy for an only-30 IBU imperial IPA, with lots of bright tropical fruits (mango, peaches), big citrus, plenty of pine, some resins, and just enough malt to back. Really nice hop job here, though I could still go for more bitterness (blast the IBUs higher please). One of the better versions of Head Banger as of late. Excellent.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Blond colour, barely hazy. Strong aroma, piney hops, armpit, vegetable matter, alcohol. Good body strength, with moderate residual sweetness; nice malt base, bread, touch of biscuits and toffee; then, powerful hopping, mostly bitter, with piney resins, bitter orange peel, maybe some pith, and warming alcohol in the finish.
It could be great if hops were brighter; but even as is, it's a solid, aggressive, modern West Coast IPA.
