Bottle at Ripan restaurant, Östersund. A very plain type of golden ale. Doesn't punch in any direction. (20/7/20) --- Bottle at Basta, Östersund. Why is this beer always available at Italian restaurants here? Another disappointment with La Midona. It isn't a golden ale and that's where the problem lies for me, as it comes across more like a bock. Tastes, smells and ends like a bock, and no evidence of dry hopping imo. 2.8 to 2.5.

33cl bottle at 50 Kalò di Ciro Salvo, Napoli. Pours clear deep amber to caramel coloured. Malty and caramelly aroma with notes of dried fruits. Sweet, but not cloying, a bit too sweet for my taste, but did go fairly well with the pizza. --- Beer merged from original tick of La Rossa 50 Kalò on 14 Feb 2020 at 14:29 - Score: 6

Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruits, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, straw, and malt, leading to bitter finish.

Sample from 75 cl bottle. Dark amber colour with a thin off white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, dark overripe fruits, port like impressions. Taste is sweet. Medium bodied. Drying fruity finish. Nice.
