Well, firstly we are a brewpub, with a 110-seater restaurant and 2 well stocked bars. We are proud to be part of England’s micro-brewery boom and it is our mission to bring quality, craft ale to our home town. A totally independent company, owned by 2 friends and a team of 41 cheerful staff – we brew our award winning, super-duper ales, right here on the premises.

Moderate sweetness, light bitterness and a touch of tart. Moderate body, slight watery texture, average combination. Lacked some body but nice enough.

Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a slight tart edge. Moderate body, slight watery texture, average carbonation. Not really my thing but was ok.

Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. The best of the cask beer is on offer tonight.

Draught (Dancing Man, Southampton) - Copper red in colour. Blackcurrant, pine, grapefruit and caramel all feature prominently in both the aroma and in the relatively bitter and fruity taste.

Cask (Dancing Man, Southampton) - Dark brown with red tinges. Malty, fruity and slightly spicy aroma with raisins, dates and currants. Moderately rich and malty taste with mince meat, raisins and spices detected.
