Description
Sixth generation headstrong Belgian true craft and traditional brewery, established in the early 1800's and on the same exact location were we are still today since 1859! Call us stubborn. But we are still a family with strong values. We still brew all our beers ourselves. We still use the original copper kettles. And we can guarantee our quality for at least another 150 years! We're headstrong. True craft brewers. And we're from Belgium!! These beers were not made in someone's garage as a hobby. For six generations, brewing is our family's passion. We do not follow hypes. We stay true to the craft. Without compromises on quality. And in this respect, you can call us stubborn.

On tap at Angel, Stockport. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a medium sized foamy almost white head and good lacing. The aroma has Belgian Malts, bananas, peel and spice. In the mouth it has typical witbier Characteristics, falling somewhere between sweet and sharp. Flavour has apples, oranges, bananas, pears and coriander, with hints of malts and soda coming later. Finish is light, fruity and slightly dry. This is a decent witbier – though would probably taste better on a warm summer’s day rather than a cold December one !

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Tuulensuu, 20251110) The beer poured deep golden and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, honey, fruitiness and spicy yeast. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, honey, grain, fruitiness, spicy yeast and bitterness. Aftertaste had spicy yeast, fruitiness, lightly metal and medium bitterness. A mostly tasty brew despite the metal notes in the taste.

$13.99 4-pk @ Winter Springs Liquor
AROMA: Mildly sweet with mild scents of malt and bread. As the beer warms, I get ever-so-faint hints of green apple.
APPEARANCE: Pours a clear light-gold with a (barely) 1-finger, tight-froth, off-white, head that dissipates fairly quickly with decent lacing. It looks fine in my clear glass but the head needs to last much longer.
TASTE: Mildly sweet with mild flavors of malt and caramel. The finish has a touch of bitterness and mineral "tang".
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied with a somewhat "grabby" texture. Carbonation seems slightly above-average. The finish is medium dry.
OVERALL: I can't say that I am bowled over by this beer. It has very simple flavors, aromas, and texture. Yet, somehow, I find myself enjoying it.
I don't know if I would ever buy this again, but only because I have a lot of other beers on my "try it" list. However, I would gladly drink another if I was ever offered one.
