Rather nondescript IPA, presenting neither a strong citric hop profile or biting bitterness or much malt, instead tasting vaguely of all three with undercurrents of melon and butter. Grows bready and thin on the back end. Drinkable if it's the only IPA in the fridge, but kind of a blank slate as far as the style goes. Pours a pretty gold with a lasting white head and good lacing. Aroma's a nonfactor. Perky feel is medium-bodied and well-carbonated. Pretty sure I'll have forgotten this beer fifteen minutes from now.

Can/Fest. A- Coffee, roasty, bitter, slightly earthy, mild booze. A- Brown red color, clear liquid, beige head. T- Coffee, caramel, smooth. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Nice beer. I figured this was a stout at first smell but the nice caramel notes helped pull that scotch ale base through just enough. Certainly coffee forward and a unique idea. Really liked this beer and what it had going on. Why haven't more breweries made coffee scotch ales. I love this.

Shaker pint draft at The Burg & Barrel in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a hazed copper brown golden with a minimal off white head. Nice lace left behind on glass. The aroma is initially the clove, banana yeast and general wheat grain of a Dunkelweizen, with the blood orange appearing cleanly as the beer warms a bit. The taste is the opposite, bright blood orange citrus and fruit right away, with the Dunkelweizen character coming behind with the wheat grain and clove banana yeast notes. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and lingering blood orange clove yeast finish. Solidly made, though not real sure the concept is my thing.

12 oz can purchased at Lukas Liquors in Overland Park, Kansas. 20717 stamped on bottom can (July 26th?). The pour is mostly clear golden with a ½ inch slightly dirty white head. The aroma is leaf, grass, bitterness and a bit of citrus. The taste is the grass, resin citrus hop, along with a fresh cracker malt finishing with the grass and bitterness. As the beer warms, resin shows more as pine, and the citrus gets a bit more tropical. The palate is medium to light bodied, soft natural carbonation and the resin bitter finish. Nice one.

Pours a rich deep almost black, dark roasty aroma with toffee, similar flavor. Oily and big round mouthfeel. Good beer.
