Notater fra en hyggelig kveld på Cardinal, Mi2, og vi er nå i gang med kveldens andre flaskeøl. Klar rødlig kobbergylden med fint skum som varer til bunns. Deilig maltdrevet aroma og smak - mørke karameller, skog og urter. Myk munnfølelse og behagelig bitterhet. Hint av bær og karamellsjokolader. en nydelig bock.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours dark copper with off-white head. Aroma of dark bread, caramel, some fruity notes and floral hop notes. Tastes slightly sweet with little bitterness. Medium bodied.

300 ml bottle, as Budels Goudblond, Kölsch type, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 6%. Clear golden colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of malts and dust, only a hint of floral hops. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of malts and herbal hops, a hint of citrus, dry finish.

300 ml bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Mahogany colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel and brown bread with syrup. The flavour has the same elements, not too sweet though. Moderate but noticeable bittering hops.

Bottle 30cl. from Landmarkt @home poured into a teku glass. Clear pale amber colour, good frothy white head, good lacing. Aroma pale malt, grain, some citrus peel, wort, earthy hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty backbone, wort, pine resin, orange marmelade. Light body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, mild bittersweet taste, malty backbone, earthy notes, very decent. Heeft me blij verrast.
