Clear and deep ruby brown colour, good off-white head, creamy lacing. Sweet malts, roasted, caramel, brown sugar, fruit (plum, apricot), herbs. Taste at first roasted sweet malts and fruity, followed by light bitterness, smooth mouthfeel, creamy sticky texture, medium to full body, average carbonation. Finish is malty and fruity (slightly sour) with light bitterness, well-balanced rich beer,

(Bottle, De Bekeerde Suster, Amsterdam, 27 July 2013) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of bread, tropical fruit and grass. Malty, slightly fruity taste with tropical fruit, candy sugar, bready malt and a slightly sweetish finish a mild grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite decent.

Hazy yellow color, white frothy head with low retention. Yeasty wheat aroma, bit spicy, coriander, some citrus. Light sweet taste, with wheat and coriander and touch of citrus. Light body, thin feel, soft carbonation, light sour aftertaste, watery, good when you are thirsty, nice.

Bottled from Mitra, large sample. Cloudy yellow color, big white head, some big yeast debris (shouldnt have poured that). Aroma has lots of coriander, some citrus, bit spicy yeasty notes. Quite sweet, bit too much coriander actually, citrussy sour note. It is a bit too spicy from the yeast in flavor and a bit too much coriander in aroma for my liking. But it’s actually a very decent belgian white. Quite creamy texture, smooth and easy to drink.

Draft at De paas. Pours pale clear golden with a white head. Aroma is metallic, yeast, slight grass and soap. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Light bodied with light carbonation.

Two things you can learn from this beer: 1) Just because something is organic, doesn’t mean it’s going to be better than something that isn’t. 2) If you’ve ever wondered how to detect that butterscotch aroma, caused by diacetyl, this beer will help.
