Description
The Budelse Brouwerij (Budels Brewery) is a family business that still values the traditions that have guided the brewery for centuries now. It's been at the very heart of the village of Budel in Brabant since 1870. Founded 150 years ago by Gerardus Arts as Brouwerij de Hoop (the Hope Brewery). Today, the fourth generation of the Arts family is at the helm and we are just as committed to the brewing as our ancestors.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan, as Budels Lentebock. A clear, golden beer with a finger-thick off-white head. Pale malts and some sugary notes on the aroma. Slightly spiced, wouldn’t have said mint if it wasn’t for the commercial description. Some sweetness in the mouth, pale malts, a spiced touch and a pleasant fruityness. Full body and pleasant carbonation level. A pleasant one, slightly unusual, but really nice. 110218

Poured from tap into a nice, slim glass at Kitty’s in Helsinki. Shared with Matti. Airy, white head leaving spotty lacing behind. Clear, straw-gold body. Faint aroma of grass. Mild taste profile with sweet fruits and pale malts. Oily palate. Soft and clean drinking (Helsinki, 06.02.2011).

(Draught at Kitty’s, Helsinki - shared with Rune) The beer poured very pale golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass and cooking oil. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, mildly malts and quite low bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter. An easily drinkable beer that’s even easier to forget.
