Rating #5800! Super hazy golden and lightly copper coloured body with a thick, four centimetre tall glowing tan head and a very hazy tint that shows up after some of the sediment has found it’s way to the bottom. Aroma of super funky brett, sour funk, light fruits, pungent yeast, bread, grain and a bit more grass and herbal scents - very pungent in the nose with some spices at the tail end. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich grassy and perfumey flavours up front with a big dose of yeast and brett that accompanies some sour fruity flavours, but leaves the palate mostly bready with tons of complex flavours. Aftertaste shows some brett, sour grapes, yeast, bread, grain, alcohol warmth, light spices like white pepper, coriander seed and lavender and a bit of noticeable lower alpha acid hops on the tail end. Overall, a super complex beer that is nice and rich and much more deeper in the malt, alcohol and yeast department than I had expected. Definitely worth trying and sampling if you can find this, given it’s extreme complexities throughout, but not a great beer in terms of taste or flavours for the style. I sampled this 37,5 cL split bottle purchased from Super Liqour Mart in Littleton, Colorado on 05-June-2014 for US$7,99 sampled at home in Washington a few minutes before leaving on a train for New York on 01-December-2016.
