Description
Urban Artifact is Ohio’s home for sour beer; located in the historic St. Patrick’s church in Cincinnati. With a special emphasis on fruit beers, they have created a niche with their signature overfruited Midwest Fruit Tart style focusing on balance, drinkability, and real fruit. Brewing a bevy of different sour beers, from the standard German style gose, to the exotic spontaneously fermented barrel aged sour with a wide variety of different fruits, there is sure to be something new and exciting to explore. We are currently on pace to use over 400,000 lbs of real fruit this year alone!
Our Northside, Cincinnati taproom is open seven days a week, with food service provided by Wildfire Pizza Kitchen. We host live music five nights a week at the Radio Artifact Live stage, and make the historic church sanctuary, The Reliquary, available for receptions and events.
Radio Artifact, the Urban Artifact hosted independent music radio, can be listened to on 91.7FM HD2 in Cincinnati or live streaming online at radioartifact.com

Pours murky wastewater into a tulip - quite honestly this looks absolutely disgusting. Blackberry and blueberry aromas. Thick and pulpy with sweet and sour crushed blackberry seeds and blueberry skins front to back. Medium length marshmallow finish. Pretty darn close to a sherbet shake.

Pours a hazy purple-maroon color with a medium thin pinkish-white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of raspberry, citrus, vanilla and wheat. Medium body with flavors of tart raspberry, citrus, banana, vanilla and biscuit malt. The finish is tart berry with a vanilla aftertaste. Pretty good beer all around.

12 oz can. Aroma is chocolate, raspberry, lacto, dark bread, pouch tobacco. Pours dark brown--nearly black--with ruby red highlights and a one finger beige head with decent retention. Taste is crazy interesting, with chocolate and raspberry flavors and a high level of saltiness. Sour level about an 8/10. Finishes dry. Just the right level of carbonation and nice mouthfeel. A fascinating, creative, thirst-quenching crazy concoction that doesn't sound like it would work, but it pulls it off in spades.

Can. A- Cucumber, mild tartness, subtle vinegar. A- Golden brown color, cloudy liquid, minimal head. T- Cucumber, slightly tart, salt, gherkins. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, refreshing finish. O- What seems like it should be a novelty is in fact really tasty! This was like drinking liquid cucumbers. The dill wasn't too strong and therefore the cucumber flavor came out more than pickle flavor but still. This is a summer beer I could get behind and have a few pints of. Enjoyed this way more than I probably should have. Looked terrible through...like literal sewer water.
