Description
Urban Artifact is Ohio’s home for sour beer; located in the historic St. Patrick’s church in Cincinnati. With a special emphasis on fruit beers, they have created a niche with their signature overfruited Midwest Fruit Tart style focusing on balance, drinkability, and real fruit. Brewing a bevy of different sour beers, from the standard German style gose, to the exotic spontaneously fermented barrel aged sour with a wide variety of different fruits, there is sure to be something new and exciting to explore. We are currently on pace to use over 400,000 lbs of real fruit this year alone!
Our Northside, Cincinnati taproom is open seven days a week, with food service provided by Wildfire Pizza Kitchen. We host live music five nights a week at the Radio Artifact Live stage, and make the historic church sanctuary, The Reliquary, available for receptions and events.
Radio Artifact, the Urban Artifact hosted independent music radio, can be listened to on 91.7FM HD2 in Cincinnati or live streaming online at radioartifact.com

$2 Green can as pictured, vintage. Pours like a refreshing picture of ginger ale. Mild nose of lime, perhaps farmy. Very good cutting co2. Middle of well balanced lime peel and bubbly light hearted brew. Gose down easy, no pun intended. Yep pretty good tasty enjoyable civilized brew. Glad I found it.

From a can I can tell its a berliner from the start. Looks like ginger ale. Slight farmy aroma. Taste is so friendly and fun. gently tart on style berliner weis fer sher, yummy. No way this is over 5%! Its way too gentle and friendly, you really have to look for the alky to find it. I could do a six pack of these. So easy so friendly so enjoyable so refreshing. Look, I like tart brews but this one is well done a balanced, I need another because its gone already! Good deal, $2 can from vintage.

Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Fruit smoothie like smell. Thick apperance. Taste is very tart indeed, sour and gorgeous fruity flavours. Generally just like a smoothie, but sour and a beer. One of the best sours ive had although the smoothie texture, I'm a little unsure about. So much fruit maybe its even healthy...

Sample at the brewpub. Cloudy copper-brown color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of tart fruit, oak, vanilla and spice. Light-bodied with flavors of tart citrus, yeast, oaky vanilla and cinnamon. The finish is tart spiced orange and oak. Pretty good all around.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a mahogany-brown color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Patchy lacing. Aroma of tart fruit, vanilla and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart cherry and berry, vanilla, yeast and malt. The finish is tart with a vinegar and berry aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Hazy reddish-purple color with a medium pinkish-white head that burns away quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lace. The aroma consists of tart raspberry, vanilla, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of sweet-tart raspberry, vanilla, funky yeast and doughy malt. The finish is sour with a lingering raspberry aftertaste. Good beer all around.
