Description
Urban Artifact is Ohio’s home for sour beer; located in the historic St. Patrick’s church in Cincinnati. With a special emphasis on fruit beers, they have created a niche with their signature overfruited Midwest Fruit Tart style focusing on balance, drinkability, and real fruit. Brewing a bevy of different sour beers, from the standard German style gose, to the exotic spontaneously fermented barrel aged sour with a wide variety of different fruits, there is sure to be something new and exciting to explore. We are currently on pace to use over 400,000 lbs of real fruit this year alone!
Our Northside, Cincinnati taproom is open seven days a week, with food service provided by Wildfire Pizza Kitchen. We host live music five nights a week at the Radio Artifact Live stage, and make the historic church sanctuary, The Reliquary, available for receptions and events.
Radio Artifact, the Urban Artifact hosted independent music radio, can be listened to on 91.7FM HD2 in Cincinnati or live streaming online at radioartifact.com

Can: Poured a maroon purple with a pinkish white fast dissipating head. Aroma is full on raspberries, seedy. Taste is sticky raspberries, seedy, grain backbone, not sweet but not tart either, balanced and enjoyable.

Can for 2.5$ at vintage estate. Looks like grapefruit juice, smells like grapefruit juice. No head. OH, very bitter, not like most other urban artifact brews I've had. Yes, almost phenolic in bitterness, quite unnatural, even for an IPA. Where is the mango? Is it hidden? Non existent. The sharp rude not-IPA bitterness reminds me of that taste you get from an immature brewer who has not straightened out his brewing yet. Rather rude, would not recommend this even to an IPA lover. Quafability quotability factor is very close to zero, hehehhehh. The impolite discourteous flavor is something to be reckoned with, I couldn't even tell if it had any co2 in there, or if it was simply mouth coating. If it wasn't for the appearance or the aroma, this would rate just as bad as UA Fruited IPA, whew. There, you have it.

Can.
A- Purple color, clear liquid, pink head.
A- Raspberry, candy.
F- Raspberry, sweet, hard candy.
T- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish.
O- To be fair, this was a year+ old but it was also only 99 cents for the can in 2026, so in this economy at that price, it's worth the cost of admission. Tasted like a raspberry hard candy. More soda like than beer in terms of mouthfeel and flavor.
