Sample at the taproom during the Mardi Gras Celebration! on 02/22/2020. Black pour with some brown around the edges, and small patches of lacing. Chocolatey aroma with raspberry and malt notes. Medium to full body with flavors of roast malt, chocolate and raspberry. The finish is roasty with a raspberry chocolate fudge aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at the taproom during the Mardi Gras Celebration! on 02/22/2020. Hazy reddish-orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Fruity and hoppy aroma with passionfruit and malt notes. Medium body with flavors of lemony hops, passionfruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at the taproom during the Mardi Gras Celebration! on 02/22/2020. Slightly hazy bright straw-gold color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Fruity aroma with wheat and hop notes. Light-bodied with flavors of pomegranate, wheat, biscuit malt and mild floral hop. The finish is fruity with a pomegranate aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the taproom during FoBAB Weekend! on 11/09/2019. Inky black pour with a medium tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing. Aroma of bourbon, maple and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, sweet maple, chocolatey malt and vanilla. The finish is oaky and sweet with a bourbon and maple aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Sample at the taproom during FoBAB Weekend! on 11/09/2019. Brown-black pour with a medium thick beige head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Small patches of lace. Bourbon, nuts and malt in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of oaky bourbon, roasted nuts and chocolate malt. The finish is oaky with a peanut butter whiskey aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Sample at the taproom during FoBAB Weekend! on 11/09/2019. Clear copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes gradually to a film. Strings of lace. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a pithy citrus and hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle. A- Earthy, coffee, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, no head. T- Roasty, bitter, ash, cocoa, espresso. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly dry finish. O- Over two years old, espresso and dark chocolate bitterness still very present. Pretty tasty overall.

Sample at 1808 American Bistro. Cloudy bright orange color with a thin white head that recedes steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Herbal hop, peach and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of dank hops, peach and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter and creamy with a peach and hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle from vintage estate. Malty nose. Has a darker maroon attitude about the eye. Quite malty first impact. Yes, alky with a somewhat peat feel to it. More personality than most red ales. Gets a little difficult in the middle. Some back of throat interesting funny stuff. Yes, funny little leprechaun, heheheh. An Irish, or should I say a wee heavy Scottish ale for the doe-mestick crowd of the you, ess of aye! LOL. There, you have it, it finally ends with a milky malt finish.
