About
Fremont Brewing was born of our love for our home and history as well as the desire to prove that beer made with the finest local ingredients – organic when possible --, is not the wave of the future but the doorway to beer's history. Starting a brewery in the midst of the Great Recession is clearly an act of passion. We invite you to come along with us and enjoy that passion -- because beer matters.

2016 vintage bottle, 750 mL, corked and caged, amd old enough that the cage was brittle enough to break. Cloudy golden orange. Wild funky nose, lots of brett, some white wine barrel. Some tart white grape, orange, oak. Dry finish. Lots of funk. Long lasting white wine like barrel finish. Very nicely held up over the last near decade. Fantastic.

US Pint can from Hi-Time Wines, Costa Mesa; drank on 10th April 2025. Loved the can design, loved the beer, Fremont could well become my favourite American brewery if they keep producing beers like this for me to find. Dark brown body, off-white head. Malty with dark chocolate and a herbal twist in the aroma, taste also holds a chocolate and spicy feel within the malty base.
