Can (5/3/21) from Craft Beer Cellar, Newton. It's a murky, opaque reddish-brown with tons of dark floaties, light sparkle, finger-width rocky off-white head with good retention and decent lacing. Aroma is rye, caramel and faint apple and winter spices. Taste is similar to aroma but everything is stronger and better balanced. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, an interesting, but kind of weird, winter warmer quality to it. Too carbonated and could use some help in the looks department. Surprised CBC would sell this for full price 10 months after it was canned. Would have expected this from America's favorite discount liquor store, but not one that should totally know better. No matter where you are--gotta check the dates! Glad to get the brewery tick but am bummed I got this version. At least is doesn't seem that different from previous reviews.

Draught @ Grafton st Pub, Cambridge (9 May 19). Murky amber red with very small frothy light beige head, faint sweet caramel aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter caramel taste with grassy hops flavor, thin body, medium finish. Not very remarkable.

Draught at Deep Ellum, upon debut, then contract brewed at the now defunct Watch City.
Lightly-to-minimally hazy, blonde-golden with strong maize tints. White head atop is medium-sized, slowly falling to cover.
Fruity and with light-to-moderate mineral and phenol character, adding light white pepper, apple and pear. Cereal and biscuit behind it seems to gently balance while the hops add light notes of herb and lemon that gives it a bright edge on the end. Not terribly kolsch-like, with more malt than that usually has and the belgian yeast contributing more fruitiness and of course the phenols being out-of-place (though they arent heavy). No alcohol or flaw.
Flavor-wise it's pretty well-attenuated, with lemony hop and a fair bit of bubble gum ester. Cereal and biscuit through the middle lead to light pepper, hints of honey-like malt and lingering fruity yeast. Strong carbonation. No alcohol or flaw, but just a bit more white pepper and clove lingering than I'd prefer out of anything, let alone something roughly trying to imitate a kolsch. Still, it's a solid offering and perfectly drinkable.

Pours an amber from a bottle, little head. Aroma is a bit of citrus and banana. Flavor is a light banana and maybe a little spiciness. I feel like this is more of a witbier or hefeweizen, and is really only kölsh-y on the finish. Okay beer.

Shared 22 oz. bottle. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of bread, malt, scotch and wood. Taste follows nose. Decent but not one of the better scotch ales out there.

Draft at Park Cambridge, MA on18 July, 2015. Mostly cloudy gold color with thin head in branded Portico glassware. Aroma is mild floral hops, corn, notes of honey.
The flavor will not give you any surprises, pale malt and grain base giving notes of honey and corn/ grain.
Body is lighter as this lager should be. The one nice character is that the hop profile is slighter lager then what the style guidelines call for. Don’t misunderstand, It is not overly hopped, just enough to make it slightly different then every other in the style. A light lingering floral note to cut the sweetness. I drained the glass easily and could session this with the best in style.

An amber wit with a thin white head. In aroma, a strange cherry flavoured Halls drops with seltzer, chalk and light bilious notes. In mouth, a smooth sweet cherry banana with epsom salts, a bit of grape bubble gum, not bad. On tap at Somerville Summerfest, July 14 2012.
