750 ml bottle from the brewery: pours hazy orange with white head. Aroma is yeasty, hoppy, slightly fruity. Pretty bitter for a saison. Quite dry. Still substantial maltiness and body in there. Not really sure what the rice is doing up in there.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a very nice two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of grass, very light wheat, some citrus, a touch of sour notes and a good funky brett/lact note. Light-bodied; Nice funky wheat/yeast flavour with a good sour kick at first and a grassy/herbal element which shows well. Aftertaste shows a very nice and refreshing sour herbal finish with a good complexity and a nice dry finish. Overall, a very nice beer with super refreshing qualities, but a complex and enjoyable beer throughout - great on tap as well! I sampled this 12oz tulip on draught at Blind Tiger in New York, New York on 30-June-2016 for my birthday

Shared 25.4 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown with a light beige head. Aroma is dark fruits, funk, and spice with hints of red wine. Taste is similar with faint chocolate and coffee. Additionally, it has a sourness to it, but it’s not a tart sourness, but rather more like sour milk. It is most assuredly a unique beer, but one with its potential left unfulfilled.

Poured into a shaker showing pitch black center with translucent brown rims and sparse latte colored foam. The nose shows a lot of citric orange with hints of cranberry. The palate is medium bodied and well carbonated. A lot of citric forward orange flavor and barely perceivable hints of cranberry. The cranberry appears at the end with the astringency on the palate. A slight roasted malt bitterness finishes off the beer. Works quite well in general.
