Bottle at Craigs 2016 alldayer. Pours clear golden with no real head. Aromas of pale malt, lemon. Taste is similar. Thin, gassy dry.finish.

Location: 750ml bottle from Sparrow - Downtown, 3/10/16
Aroma: Lots of fruit comes through on the nose, tart cranberries, citrus, and some yeast notes
Appearance: Black in color with an almost purplish hue coming through when you hold it up to some light. A fizzy beige head sits on top, with again, a bit of a purple tinge. The head starts off fairly large and then dissipates down to a thin sheet that leaves some mild, spotty lace.
Flavor: The taste is fairly fruity as well, more tart than sweet, with a punchy citrus type flavor, a good amount of salinity, and a strong yeast presence too, finishes funky and a little tart
Palate: The mouthfeel is fairly light, with a fizzy carbonation, and a tingly, somewhat tart close
Overall Impression: This is really interesting. Pretty sure this is the first Black Gose I've tried (or at least I can't remember trying another). I can't say I'd have guessed the color with my eyes closed, as it doesn't taste of any roasted malt flavor. Really quite a unique beer though, and one I enjoyed. I'm in favor of breweries making stuff like this: unique, flavorful, and fairly low in alcohol. Big fan.

Bottle from Craigs, dregs run. Pours hazy golden with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon, light solvents. Taste is lemon, rich mouthfeel. Sweet lemon finish.

Aroma: Yeast / spice, fruity (apricot / stone fruit), a bit of funk, and some grassy notes
Appearance: Clear gold with a fizzy head that dissipates pretty quickly and leaves some light lace
Flavor: Has a fairly clean flavor, minimally sweet, gets fairly dry midway through to the close
Palate: Lighter body, with a fairly fizzy carbonation, and a somewhat dry, tingly finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty nice one. Not super funky from the brett, but it has that clean dryness that's one of it's trademarks. There's also a weird rubbing alcohol type thing that comes through if you take a really strong whiff that I only picked up later into the beer. Really quite tasty overall.

Aroma: Floral and yeast come through on the aroma over an undertone of orange/citrus and spice
Appearance: Clear orange color with a pink hue, a beige head that is all at once fizzy, rocky, and foamy sits on top of the beer, and dissipates down to a thin sheet and leaves minimal lacing
Flavor: They get a ton of flavor out of the yeast and the added components here, with the floral and citrus flavors coming through bright and clean, with a nice, lightly tart finish
Palate: It is pretty drinkable and clean, maybe a bit over carbonated, with a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was another tasty, well-formed brew from Transmitter. They seem to have a knack for getting yeast, wheat, and some additives to meld into a properly constructed beer, and this one is no exception. It's not necessarily my type of beer for daily drinking, but I can't help but enjoy the excellence of the execution.
