350ml can as a beer gift from larsga and Naito-san, thanks. Shared with Finn at a tasting session. Pours an amber coloured body with a slight haze. Dense, off-white head. Spotty lacing to glassware. Nice malts and hops to the nose with floral and herbal hints. Rounded taste character with apricot, tropical fruits and mild honey sweetness. Lightly bitter ending Smooth and refreshing (Tromsø, 21.06.2012).

Can from Yamaoka. Wheaty aroma, some esters, clove, light citrus and coriander. Somewhat medium golden color, slightly cloudy only, with lace. Fruity, sweet flavor, spicy as well. Ripe melon, orange, bread. Fruitiness approaches a weizen. A bit too sweet and creamy for the style, and thus not as clean and refreshing as it could be, but tasty enough..

Can pours nice and dark with nice firm mocha head of nearly creamy foam. The aroma has a fun mix of bold malts, roasted malts, molasses, coffee and a bit of chocolate. Smells great. The taste is similar with roasted malts heading into dark roasted malts and molasses. It gets a little coffee and chocolate like to midway and into the finish. This is a toasty roasty robust porter. Yummers. I’m lovin’ this.

Big offwhite head. Clear deep golden body. Deep tropical fruit and citrus aroma with oily grassy notes. Dry-sweet tropical fruit and resin taste with citrus notes. Fullish body. Mild, slightly hot mouthfeel. Very clean flavour. Dryish dusty tropical fruit aftertaste with resiny grassy spicy notes. Spicy bitter flavour lingers. Very nice. Bold, yet highly drinkable. (0.35l can from Naito-san.)

Very good yellowish head over coppery-golden beer. Lightly spicy hops and other grains aroma. Bitterish, but also a strange, flour-like flavour and sesame seed - the last probably the "other grain" aroma from the nsoe. Real bitter is suddenly there in the finish, with more complexity, only to stop abruptly. Dry, well-carbonated, medium bodied. Interesting beer, seems one moment underhopped, only to return with a vengeance.

No head. Clear amber body. Deep sugary caramelly fruity aroma with wooden resiny notes. Dry-sweet wooden spicy caramel taste with resiny grassy notes. Fullish body. Sharpish, hot mouthfeel. Dry-bitter perfumy toffee caramel aftertaste with wooden licorice and spice notes, as well as traces of vanilla. Nice. Vivid and complex, but a bit sharp. (0.2l draft at Popeye, Tokyo.)

Can shared at Slutfest 3, Richmond, VA, 4/21/12. Pours a clear amber color with lots of particulates. Aroma of nutty, toasted malts and citrus hops. The taste is citrus hops and pale caramel malts. Medium bodied.

Can @ RBESG 2011 Grand Tasting at Dean Swift. Gold cler thin white hea.d Not much of an ipa. Touch of flavour. Hops are soft and dullish.
