Light copper with some amber. Aroma has some light bitterness, some pine, earth, and slightly sweet malts. Bitterness hits a lot harder in the flavor. Some citrus and pine, light sweet malt backbone. Lemon comes through just barely. Bitter finish with a slight oiliness. Not all that complex, but nice. Crisp, medium body, Nice and bitter for a Japanese IPA but a little lacking in overall flavor. Iβd buy it again, though. (Just bought a can of this last night for 140 yen. Thatβs cheaper than some of the crappy pale lagers available in Japan. Unbeatable for that price)

Copper orange with very little head. Sweet malts, fruity, light hop citrus, lightly acidic, and some herbal notes. Smooth, full bodied, with low carbonation. Pine hops, citrus, some sweet malts, sort of fruity. Finishes with some nice bitterness. Pretty damn good.

Can. The first time I had this I was on a train to Yokohama but was had rated too many beers earlier that night to really get a good grip on what this was really like. The copper color with thick off-white head is a good start. Herbal, bread, yeast, and citrus orange aroma. Mouth is medium, with soft carbonation. Yeast, light citrus, biscuit, and sweet herbs makes for a pleasant flavor. A well made, enjoyable, and surprising biere de garde.
