Bottle from a supermarket in Oregon. Aroma is malt, floral hops, lots of grapefruit, pine and spruce. Flavour is moderate sweet with an annoyingly harsh bitterness. Body is medium. Wow, I didn’t expect such a poorly balanced IPA from Ninkasi. Very disappointing.

Poured from 568mL can (pkg 09/04/2024). Clear-ish gold with small white head. Stone fruit and sticky tropical hops with mild biscuit malt. Touch of booze on the finish. Simple, has a bit of an old school feel. Decent.

Stupid huge can. Pours amber with moderate head. Aromas of candied fruit, sweetened citrus ,a bit of pine and doughy malts. Flavors of same with a little more pine. Quite nice, but points off for packaging such a high ABV beer in the massive can.

Can, 0.355l. Aroma is floral, ripe tropical fruity, herbal and resinous. Pours clear golden color with large soapy white head and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts sweet tropical fruity and biscuity, following is herbal and medicinal with melon note, mouthfeel is warm and mild spicy with dry and bitter finish. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Cold but warm…

Feeling like a gas station mega can of TIPA tonight, this one pours amber and bright. Thin, weak head and the boozy nose tells me soon I'll be in bed. Fusels and pale malts, just like OE, but classy because it's made by Ninkasi. No hop expression for this one-beer session; I'll drink the whole thing because I don't learn lessons.

Cloudy amber, creamy white head. Big juicy nose. Juicy tropical palate with medium bitterness and light alcohol heat which intensifies as it warms
