Description
The Genesee Brewing Company, based in Rochester, New York, is one of the largest and oldest continually operating breweries in the United States. It was founded by Mathius Kondolf, one of Rochester’s early entrepreneurs, after purchasing the Reisky & Spies Brewery (since 1857), changing its name to The Genesee Brewery.
The Genesee Brewing Company is since 2012 part of FIFCO USA, the largest independently owned beer company in the United States. With a focus on product quality, facility upgrades (including the relighting of the iconic Genesee Beer & Ale sign), conservation initiatives and employee safety, FIFCO USA has invested in the Genesee family of beers, its employees and the community.
In 2012 The Genessee Brew House was created to capture and share with you the long history of The Genesee Brewery - one of the largest and oldest continually operating breweries in America.

12 oz bottle, pale golden clear with slight white head. Medium body. Corn malt aroma with some pepper to it. Mildly bitter grass corn taste with a brief spicy finish. Still an ok, unpretentious beer to drink very cold on a hot day.

A malt liquor, I am tempted to drink out of the can. But no, aspirations are here, I can accommodate. An Austin brewery provided the snifter, let’s pour and proceed with the contents of the well-priced 23.5 oz can. No mistaking the direction from the name and the graphics on the can. I can relate, sorta like the dank brews. I see a different appearing, greenish, body with no head, none. The scent, yeah, freshly rolled. The taste, well, the sweetness overwhelms the product. Just have to locate some alternative. Better than any Four Loko, best I can say.

Odd. Way too sweet for my liking. Also don't get much of a hemp taste. Golden pour with ok head. Pretty clear. Very sweet.

Nose of sweet corn, bit juicy, followed by bread, cereal, grassy hops, clear pale golden, minimal head that quickly disappears, hardly any lacing, average carbonation, light sweetness, light bitterness, soft, creamy, fruity, smooth light body and a bit creamy/ buttery, thin feel, watery, sticky, light dry finish.

Strawberry, lemon, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with large white head and mild effervescence. Moderately sweet strawberry, lemon, light biscuit malt, and very lightly bitter straw flavor. Light body. Strong artificial strawberry presence but not much else - might be better than a White Claw.
