Had mid-March 2019 at the Glebe brewpub. A very slight haze, light golden-amber colour with a small off-white head and mild spots of lace. I really like the aromas in this one. Cereal grains, orange notes, caramel and the spiciness of mild hops. The spiciness continues in the taste without being bitter. All well-blended with the fruitiness of the malts. Lightly dry mouthfeel. Not sure a bock, but a real nice refreshing spicy, kind of soapy (in a good way) beer for welcoming spring.

Hazy golden colour with an orange hue, an off-white head and good thick foamy lacing. Orange nose with some lychee. Same for flavours, so really nice, and not too sour at all. Some light bitterness dryness in finish. Mouthfeel has a little tart. This is quite nice and different for the style, but very nice if you like less sour.

Enjoyed in May at my first time at the Rideau location. Copper colour with a small beige head and nice creamy lacing. Mild mix of caramel aroma, roasted malts with hints of lactose and some farm action. Taste is a little sweet with the caramel and chocolate malts, but well ending with light hops. Mouthfeel is a little dry. A nice darker malt, easy going brew.

Tap at brewpub. Opaque black colour, medium-sized creamy beige head and lace. Toasted, tobacco aroms. Light-bodied and watery. Toasted, a bit sweetish flavour with some ashy notes. Light stout.

Tap at brewpub nr City Hall. Opaque brown colour, medium-sized small beige head. Aroma is toasted, milky and diacetylic. Light-bodied. Some toastyness, milky notes in the flavour. Light tobacco. Very watery. Closer to sweet stout than brown ale.

Tap at brewpub nr City Hall. Clear pale amber colour, small white head. Neutral aroma has only light fruityness. Light-bodied. Neutral flavour too: light fruits, light grain and some herbal hops. Very scary bock.
