Well, it seems like this one is replacing the awesome Oyster Stout they had here for years, so a sad moment for me. Dark brown colour with cola highlights, beautiful milky-creamy beige head, lasting a while with streaky-creamy lacing. Roasted malt nose with hints of coffee and molasses. The mouthfeel is milky, silky and wet. The taste shows the beauty of the roasted malts, well-balanced with a light dry finish from the hops. This is a nice regular nitro-stout, but hope to see my Oyster go-to-beer come back soon.

Clean golden-amber with a creamy-frothy warm cap, good stay and some creamy lace. Nice fresh hops in the aromas with herbal notes, mild pine hits and some spiciness. The taste shows the hops over the caramel malts. Bitterness builds up for a CT brew. The mouthfeel lingers into dryness. Quite a nice IPA that goes well with their food. I feel they stepped up their game with this one, as usually a little more conservative.

Had at the brewpub in the Glebe, August 2018. Very slightly hazy, deeper amber colour with a beige head that tops the brew. The beer is quite yeasty, giving a sour-cheese nose, with fresh ginger in the background. The taste is pretty mild, but here the ginger shines above the rest. Hints of fruity malts. Quite easy to drink and refreshing with the light spices.

Pours a clean light-amber colour with a golden hue, a light beige small head and a little ring around. Grainy cereal malt aromas with some caramel notes and hints of hops. The hops are slightly spicy and more present in the taste, with still lots of grains, like rye notes - which is different for a pale ale, but nice. I do like the spicy hops used in here.

Can that pours a clean light-amber colour with an off-white cap, average retention and light lace. Caramel malt base with hints of Diacetyl and spicy hops. The taste has the caramel notes, but not so much buttery, all well-balanced by the hops that adds again, mild spiciness. Very easy to drink and does what a regular amber ale does.

Enjoyed earlier this year at the brewpub on Bank. Pours a clean golden colour with an orange hue. The head is small with no lacing. Grassy hop aromas with some spiciness, citrus and hints of grains. The mouthfeel is dry. Hoppy taste of grassy notes with very light coffee that is hard to catch. Lightly infused is right.

Seems like Ashton brought this one back this year. Hazy golden-orange colour with a small warm cap and a nice ring around the collar. Maple sap aromas with some fruitiness and caramel malts. Maple flavours, but not too syrupy, and not too sweet. Very well-balanced with apples notes in the finish. Quite a nice maple ale that goes down nicely.

A hazed golden amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy British hops, light mineral notes, light treacle, pleasant. On tap at Westboro location.

Pours a clean amber colour with a beige cap and a little lacing. The Canadian 2-row malt is pretty noticeable in the smell with honey notes and mild grassy hops. The hops are more present in the taste with a nice citrus bitterness and dry finish. Quite a nice pale ale with the hops being very well-balanced for the style.
