Pours a slight hazy brown-red colour with a tiny head that disappears quickly leaving no lacing. Spicy nose with a red grape juice base, notes of chocolate and mild coffee with time. Light tartiness in the mouthfeel. Nice light berry taste with hints of gooseberries and cherries. Better with food, as the roasted malts lingers and a little hoppiness is felt. Worth trying !

Enjoyed at the brewpub. Pours a light golden colour with a creamy white head, decent retention and foam lacing. Typical grain malt from this brewpub with soapy hops. Goes down extremely well and super refreshing. Crisp mouthfeel. Mild malt taste with a very light grainy aftertaste. This is a super refreshing summer stock ale that should brewed every summer.

On tap at the Ottawa beerfest. Ginger beer A clear gold with a solid earthy ginger root aroma. Rough mouthfeel but it works. The taste is pretty good, nice solid ginger flavor, a bit of nutty earthiness. Well balanced, success. Ap 4 Ar 8 p 4 T 8 O 13-14

On tap at the Ottawa beerfest. The wrong stuff hemp ale pours a reddish brown with a buttery diacetyl aroma. Rough carbonation. The taste is bitter butterscotch with a dose of green hemp earthiness. Fail.

Purchased at the Glebe brewpub, cellared half a year. Pours a slight hazy golden-amber colour with a bubbly off-white head that disappears quickly, leaving not much. Big spicy nose with cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg. Also in the background, notes of a Flemish sour and some fruits. Lots going on in the nose. The taste has those notes, but much lighter with the cinnamon slightly burning in the palate, in the aftertaste. Actually, quite interesting with all that is going on, so hope to see this one again next year.

A golden ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, strange sweet fruity malt with light bubblegum, fake maple, watermelon gum , cloying. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with buttery character, synthetic maple /Aunt Jemima, cheap bubblegum from (or with) old baseball cards, strange strange and cloying. On tap at Bank St location.

Had this one a few times at the Bank street brewpub. Poured a clean copper with a beautiful creamy beige head, great retention and full lacing. Looks like nitro is added to this one. Aromas of molasses and roasted malts. Mild taste of watered-down roasted malts with hints of oyster sauce. Actually goes down quite well. Head stays up the whole time, and beer gets better as it warms up. Wet mouthfeel with slight creaminess. Very light saltiness in the aftertaste. I really enjoy this one and hope they can make it more often.
