Draft at the source in the charming, old taproom in Bucharest. Gold with a frothy, white head. Grassy aroma with touches of pepper and herbs. Bitter throughout. Finishes rather abruptly and emptily, but otherwise this is decent. Refreshing even.

From tap at Caru' Cu Bere, Bucharest. An easy light Pale Lager with some straw and grainy malt. Light body, mild sweetish. It's the iconic gothic setting that makes the experience.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, light malt and green hop notes. Flavour is light sweet and above light bitter. Light bodied with high carbonation. Crisp and decent.

On tap at Caru Cu Bere, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out straw and biscuity malt upfront. Flavour is crisp and clean, with straw and cereal graininess. Very clean and boring, with little to speak of in taste, but it quenches the thirst on this hot day.
