Bottle from Yamaoka. Nose is caramel malt, chocolate, notes of soy, miso. Flavor is sweet, caramel, cocoa, miso. Rather light in body rather than chewy as I dig a boxk. Deep amber brown is pretty. Decent but I was hoping for something a bit meatier and with fewer soy notes.

On tap pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is nice sweet heavy malts some toffee caramel a little pit fruit even. Taste is more of the heavy malts toffee caramel and a touch of grassy hops.

2018. These guys make superb European-style ales. He said this was a rice ale, but it's a weizen with a Japanese twist.

Tap at Molto. Light golden color with a slight haze. Rich malt nose, wheaty, bread, light hops. Nice malty flavor, malt led, creamy and full, with just a bit of a prickly, spicy hop finish. Great malt character, but not quite as balanced as a proper Bavarian helles.
