Keg at Beer Hawk, Southbank, 18/12/18. Lightly hazed golden yellow with a decent off white cap. Nose is smoked malts, orchard wood, light spice, caramel. Taste comprises light bonfire, apple pulp, straw, fruit tang, grains, mellow smoke like a funky cider. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Not bad.

Keg at Beer Hawk, Southbank, 18/12/18. Almost clear golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is tangy fruits, clove, mulled wine, vinous touch. Taste comprises stewed peaches, light citric peel, stewed fruits, sweet and sour notes, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light soured edge. Fun easy drinking sour.

Keg at St Johns taproom, Hackney, 13/12/18. Very lightly hazed golden copper with little in the way of a head. Nose is coffee grinds, green peppery spice, green berry skins, damp straw. Taste comprises sharp bitter citric piss, mellow coffee grinds, light spice, tangy red berries, light wood must. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light acidity. Ok stuff .... gets the coffee message across but quite restrained again for Chorlton.

Keg @ House of Grain. Pours a misty dirty brown, no head. Wild apple orchard aroma. Almost completely flat. Some light green apple to taste, tired fruit juice, some umami notes, leafy with a gentle sour element. Lacks a bit of life.

Keg at the Euston Tap, West Lodge, 03/12/18. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is vanilla extract, on the turn melon, light citric peel, balsa wood, light funk. Taste comprises lemon curd, off custard notes, vanilla, damp wood. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with modest acidity. Very restrained by Chorlton's standards but an ok easy drinking sour that delivers on the vanilla.
