On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - opaque black with an olive sheen and a thin attractive fawn head. Nose - molasses and dark chocolate. Not a lot of saltiness going on. Taste - big tangy molasses note. We're in black jack territory. Liquorice abounds. Palate - close to medium bodied with a dry yet tangy long middle section. Dry tight and long through an extremely long linger. Overall - one to write home about. Stunning and complex.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. 6.5% this one. Appearance - cloudy amber with decent lacing. Nose - apple vinegar, light wood. Generally musty. Taste - dry wood and glue. Some orange peel. Lime tart. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture, dry tangy, long and lean on the finish. Overall - good. Challenging but good.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - cloudy amber with a nice lacy head. Nose - vinegar and wood. Light glue. Taste - wood, tangy lemon and a touch of vinegar. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture. Long dry tangy finish. Overall - face implosion so thumbs up.

Keg at BD Sheps Boosh, 22/09/17. Lightly hazed golden amber with a decent beige head. Nose is tangy orange, lemon tinged straw, barnyard, funk, damp alley. Taste comprises sharp green berry, wood must, funk, hay bale, fruited balsams. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with an acidic bite and puckering rinse. Decent sour.

On keg at Six Degrees North, Edinburgh. Appearance - amber with a spot or two of head. Nose - white wine vinegar and wood. Varnish bit in a good way. Taste - sour white wine and wood again. Palate - long, lean and intense from start to finish. Thirst quenching acidity. Overall - great stuff.

Tap at Mother Kellys, 21st September 17. After drinking 2.7K beers this is one of the most vile liquids I have had the misfortune to spend my money on. Drain pour stomach messing muck. Sorry this is objectioble and I love sours.

Keg at HL1. It pours cloudy reddish - brown with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, musty, vinous, gooseberry, lemon sherbet, bready, funk, bready and G&T. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, vinous, gooseberry, decent sherbet, lemony, bready, funk, mouth - pucker, rind, funk, just a touch of citric acidity and alcohol. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Tasty stuff.
