Canned. Thanks Marduk. Poured golden color with a thick white head. Apples, pears in aroma, some hay and dusty notes. Sweet, green apples, floral notes. Kinda like the apple notes but overall not a tasty beer.

(Can, 0.5 l, at pre HBF2017 Saturday tasting, thanks Marduk) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had caramel and toffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, earth, toffee, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A poor brew but a county tick.

Cask handpull at The Parcel Yard Kings Cross. Clear copper gold colour lasting off white head. Fruity aroma and taste. A bit like strawberry jam and cream ok temperature and condition. No bitterness on the finish. It is strawberry jam and cream on a scone. Wild. Ok.

Cask @ Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours a deep amber, persistent creamy white head. Aroma of toffee malt, continuing to taste. Perfectly fine semi-sweet malt with fruity shades. Ok.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Glowing deep copper with a thick yellowy-beige head and a light fizz. Vanilla toffee base with spicy notes and some lemon creeping through. Blackberry aftertaste. Maybe a tad gloopy in the mouth but otherwise pretty decent.

Cask at Tilly Shilling, Farnborough. Slightly hampered by a cold. Floral and malty aroma. Medium chestnut. Thin bubbly white head. Medium bitter. But surprisingly hoppy. Berries. Fruit. Light. Soft bodied. Slightly chalky mouthfeel. Long dry finish.

On cask at the Booking Office. Appearance - amber with a decent lacy head. Nose - toffee, some red fruits, some resin. Taste - more of the same really. Orange and red fruit this time. Toffee at the back. Palate - close to medium bodied with a crunchy texture and a long dry crunchy finish. Overall - decent.
