Clear amber pint with a thick creamy head. Sweet malty flavour, very slight almost metallic hint in the aftertaste. Would get a touch sickly after too many but it’s quite nice.

Cask @ Central Bar (JDW), Shepherd’s Bush W12. Pours a clear chestnut color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Cask @ Crown and Anchor, Welby. Pours clear, copper coloured with a creamy white head. Little aroma, taste is malty with soft fruit and maybe a little lactic acid. Pleasant, slightly bitter finish

Cask at the Jack Phillips (JDW), Godalming. Chestnut with a scummy white head; fruity aroma; grainy body, with an earthy amlt taste; a touch of spice and the a dry, lingering fruity finish. Not a bad bitter, but falling far short of the description.

Cask at the King and Castle, Tourist Town, 17/03/15. Clear amber/copper with a light beige covering, good lacing ensues. Nose is biscuit malt, toffee, dark fruit rinds, woody harmonies. Taste comprises faint red berry, malty tones, light fruit cake, toffee. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with bitterings. Ok bitter.

Crosse Keys Spoons. Cask. Clear amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy with modest fine carbonation. A light and sweet malt base, little floralness in the mid turning sweeter. Modest citrus. Trace of peach. Light dry finish. Not bad.

Cask at Parcel Yard, Kings Cross, London, Friday 13th March 2015 in company of Dad & Barry Warm gold in colour, very small white head. On the nose there is parma violets, these also transfer into the mouth, didn’t realise it was honey as well, maybe lavender? Touch sweet, too much perfume, not great. A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov10. 2.8
