Cask at the haymarket. Pours clear amber, thick white head. Aromas of oat biscuits and toffee. Taste is more of the same. Decent, if unexciting.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - gentle oatmeal and toffee. Taste - Hobnobs so oatmeal and gentle caramel holding it together. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - itโs balanced but itโs uninspiring

Tried at the royal hop pole Twekesbury. Deep Amber colour, lasting off white head. Aroma has fruity malt with some hops. Flavour started with malts and finish with a lingering bitterness.

Cask at the Assembly Rooms, Solihull. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a chewy Ovaltine malt hop bitter palate and a short bitter finish. Medium bodied witn soft carbonation. A real malt fest!

Cask @ Seven Stars, Manchester. Golden-copper with a creamy head. Crisp with a malty base, although hops are evident here too. Session ale material with a medium-high bitterness.

Pint from the Bull, Bracebridge Heath. Deep brown amber colour, creamy off-white. Aroma is light malt and veg. Taste is pumpkin, malt, and sweet caramel. Very bitter aftertaste.

Pint on cask at King William IV (the Brodies pub, where all their own beers were gone this Saturday evening). Slightly hazy, pale golden body. Diminishing white head. Smell of dried fruits and pale malts. Taste of lemon and sweet apples promoting a cider-like impression. Mid-sweet ending. Ok, far from great (Leyton, London 27.09.2014).

500ml bottle from B&M. Amber colour with a foamy white head. Aroma slightly sour fruit. Flavour is malt, caramel with a sour after taste.
