[Cask (gravity) at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] Straw body, no head; damp grain aroma; thin fruity malt flavours, with some apple and orange - like a weak fruit squash; little bitterness to finish. Best forgotten.

On draught (anywhere in Bayswater): Deep golden with a smaller, lacy white head; sourish-grainy nose with a tinge of vegetables; light to medium sweetish-sourish flavour, light bodied; short bitter-sourish finish. Drikable, not nice........

Dark amber color. Toffee milk chocolate, appley nose. Thin mouth, not well balanced despite some rich flavors.

Bottle. Pours a clear, dark golden beer with a decent beige head. Some lacings too. Roasted, fruity nose with some caramel sweetness. Full-bodied, with flavors of roasted malt and some caramel sweetness. Pleasant hops giving fruity flavors and a little bitterness. Sweet, roasted finish with some bitterness. As it warms up, it gets some strange malty flavors, so it is best enjoyed quite cold. (081018)

2008-11-11, Cask Conditioned at J. D. Wetherspoon - Shakespear’s Head, London, 6-4-6-3-12=31
Hazy deep blond color, creamy thin head (sprinkler). Delicate Ale, refreshing, a bit malty, soft, lightly fruity, with a touch of apples, both aroma and flavor.
2008-10-09, Cask Conditioned at Woodin’s Shades, London, 5-3-5-3-9=25
Golden color. It has a light apple aroma, which is not very positive. Light body, very light flavor, correct bitterness. Too simple.

Cask, Philarmonic, Liverpool. A beautiful pub....the same can’t be said of this poor effort though. Muddy looking appearance. Insipid, bland and watery. Ill defined malt and not much else happening here. Couldn’t finish, just really boring.

Cask at the Dolphin in Shrewsbury. Nice looking dark golden beer with a tight white head. Fruity taste which disappeared a little quickly and overall the beer was a bit watery, not robust enough. Finish was slightly bitter but not lasting

Cask at GBBF08. Hazy copper colour. Weak fruity flavour. Thin mouthfeel. Boring, but at least not rough.

Cask at GBBF08. Hazy dark copper colour. The flavour is fruity, a bit of raisin. Hint of rough hops. OK.

Bottle, 4.5%. Weak caramelly aroma. Clear amber colour. Almost no head. Tastes a little bready, otherwise OK caramelly maltiness. Medium bitterness.
