Cask@The Shakespeares Head. Hazy yellowish golden colour, creamy white head. Nice lace. Aroma is sparkling winelike, fruity and also has some quite strong wheatyness in it. Flavour is spicy, yeasty, wheaty, has some slight wooden notes along with nectar. Quite fullbodied, and varies a bit from the British witbier attempts I’ve stumbled accross.

Hazy yellow with large white creamy head. Sweet yeasty aroma with ywheat and coriander notes. Sweet fruity flavor with citric, yeasty and wheaty notes. Soft mouthfeel.

The Nightingale, Langford Village, Bicester, Oxon, 29-07-08 Poured mid amber with thin white head. Unfortunately I was served this in a Fosters glass which sort of ruined it for me, sad to say the lack of interest in what to serve this in pretty much summmed up what the beer was like. Dull uninteresting beer, that had some caramel on the nose but if truth be told may have also been getting a little tired, some sweetness and fruits attempt to liven things up but I’ve had this before and its been better so will seek this out again in the near future.

Cask at the Brunswick Inn, Derby. Amber with a thin cream head; slightly citrus malty aroma; malty flavour, sweet and slightly nutty; abit of orange sweetness and acidity to the finish. Better than the bottled version, but only just.

Bottle at ÅBF08. Citric aroma. The flavour starts off citric. Hazy dark amber colour. The finish is dull and fades out with a little rough bitterness. 6 3 6 3 10
