Cask at Spaniards Inn, Hampstead Heath 26 Apr 08. Pale golden colored. A filmy head. Modest aroma of cardboard. Dry cardboardish flavor. No bitterness. Disappointing.

Devil-black with russet highlights. No head. Black malts with a touch of liquorice in aroma and taste added by a hoppy accent (Half pint hand pulled at Bricklayers Arms in Putney, London 18.03.2008).

Deep dark brown coloured body with a very thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts and a bit of spice - nothing too potent. Medium-bodied; Strong roasty flavours dominate the taste with nuts and a bit of licorice showing through. Aftertaste has more malt than anything else, with a happy sweetness fading out the taste. Overall, a good stout - a bit light, almost like a mild...but very nice to try! I sampled this pulled from a cask at Market Porter in Borough, London, England on 09-March-2008.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV of the bottled version is 4.5%. Amber to orange coloured beer, large and lasting off-white head with an orangey hue. Moderate fruity aroma with raisiny notes. The flavour is moderately fruity and malty, hints of caramel and toffee, with spicy hops. Definitely drinkable, but does not call out the tiger in me.
