Cask handpull at Willow Walk, JDW, London. Copper colour with thick beige head. Fruity bitter. Nice malts. Bit of caramel. Fruity standard bitter, great condition. Nice and creamy with tart dry finish

Cask (handpump) @ Wellington, Birmingham B2, UK. Clear medium amber color with a small, virtually none, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light hoppy. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. (100108)

Cask-conditioned at the Nelson, Wheathampstead, Herts 12/1/08. Amber coloured with a moderate white head. Red fruit and caramel aroma with some earthy hops. Flavour of sweet malt with a decent bitter finish. Drinkable.

Cask @ The Pommeler’sRest, JDW, Soutwark. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Sweet fruity malty aroma with hints of caramel and hops. Sweet malty caramel flavor with some fruity hints. Has a malty bitter hoppy finish.

Nut brown colour. Very rich, silky texture. Flavour is fruity with hints of floral hop. Sweet, smooth finish.

Small coarse white head. Slightly hazy amber body. Wooden tea aroma, a bit musty. Soft dry tea taste with earthy wooden notes. Light, almost watery. Delicate, harmonic. No aftertaste. Very mild, but nice. (0.5pt cask at the King’s Head.)

(Cask at Carpenter’s Arms, Marble Arch, London, 2 Dec 2007) Mahogany colour with brief, white head. Malty nose with dark fruit, raisins and toffee. Malty taste with notes of dark fruit, toffee, solid malt foundation and hints of dusty hops in the finish. Malty and chewy winter beer.

Cask at the William Morris (JDW), Hammersmith. Amber with a cream head; fruity malt aroma; unusual pineapple fruity sweet flavours; short hop burst then a sweet finish. Different.

[i] Cask at JDW The Penny Black, Bicester, Oxon 04-11-07 [/i] Mid amber in colour with a bubbly white head, lacking in aroma. Unexciting bit wishy washy and watery for its abv some bitterness and a sugary finish.

Cask @ The Royal Blenheim, Oxford. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. Fruity malty hoppy aroma with some hints of caramel. Fruity malty and hoppy flavor. Long malty finish with some hoppy hints and a slightly bitter aftertaste.
