Keg at the Blind Tiger - NYC. I’m guessing this might be an alias! Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. Really rich roasted coffee in the aroma, some dark chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with punchy, acidic coffee, some milky sugars, baking cocoa, roast, dry earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes sweet with lactose, milk chocolate, restrained roast, cocoa, mellow earthy bitterness. Tasty beer.

Keg to pint growler from Beer Table Pantry, NYC. Drank on the train North. Pours clear honey-gold with a frothy, white head. Lots of toasted coffee in the aroma, orange, other citrus rind, pine. Medium sweet flavor with lots of bitter and earthy coffee, subtle roast, leaves, husky grains, windy citrus. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Sturdy bitterness to close out, with plenty of resinous hops, sticky pine, lots of bitter and well roasted coffee, grainy bread. A fun concept beer, but nothing I could drink a lot of.

Drought. Lightly hazy dark orange with large creamy off-white head, floral hops aroma, low carbonation, slightly sweet hoppy taste overridden with coffee flavor, longish bitter finish. Interesting but the coffee kills the hoppiness.

Draft at Alewife, 8/2/15
Orange in color with sheeting lace. Odd aroma of green pepper and not yet roasted coffee. Flavor is odd as well. Not sure this one is really my thing.

On tap at The Pony Bar, 10th av, NYC. It’s an almost clear one, dark golden in color and topped by a small, white head. There’s mocha, pine cones and some grapefruit in the aroma. It’s full-bodied and nicely carbonated, with a fine hoppy bitterness. Mocha and grapefruit in a nice blend, some pine cones and a faint malty touch as well. Long finish. A fine coffee IPA, easy drinkable too, but perhaps lacking a bit on complexity. 150625

Draft at Birreria. Aroma of roasted coffee. Dark brown with a creamy light brown head. Flavor of coffee roasty, milk, and a hint of sweetness. Good balance. Clean, lighter bodied. Dry, roasty finish.

Draught @ Alewife. Inky black with smal frothy tan head, coffee beans aroma with a hint of milk, medium carbonation, thin body, espresso taste, longish bitter coffee finish. Not too sweet, still good.

Pine box rock shop, brooklyn tap: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is coffee, some light fruitiness. Taste is pretty much an ipa combined with coffee... Very much not surprised, of course. The ipa part of it is pretty mild.
