Thnx to Bill. Pours unclear blonde, hazy, of course. Smell is intense, fruity, dryhop character. Quite good, obviously. Some white pepper. Taste is very intense. Green, herbal, juicy, fruity, tad grassy, extremely tropical, peach, orange. Creamy body, lower side of carbonation.

Bottle drunk 12/1/17.
Flat-looking, maroon-highlighted ebony body seems to be opaque.
Prune, cherry, chocolate vanilla and a lovely addition of bile and eggy sulfur.
Without going in to too much detail, yes, we had an infected bottle. Too bad it wasn't just lactic acid producing bacteria, as this thing woulda been just fine with some sourness, but unfortunately there's a lot of diaper and egg and random unwanted chemicals, as well as the lactic sourness. It's a shame too as the base beer has a nice, not horribly syrupy texture and the flavors seemed to be enjoyable before being dashed to bits by infection, on the finish. Oh well. Leave too much residual sugar in your beer, get an infection. Seems like karma to me.

Pours a very hazy, yellow-orange, with smallish head. Aroma of tropical and citrus fruit. Flavor is very citrusy, with tropical notes, a slight sweetness, and a bitter finish. Very similar to what's being brewed on the East Coast.

Well, this certainly doesn't look like a stout. Pours a slightly hazy, golden yellow, with rather smallish, tan head. Aroma of cocoa, coffee, caramel. Flavor is coffee, cocoa, butterscotch, vanilla. It might have been even better as a dark stout.

Bottle thanks to Wally. Pours black with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong marshmallows, cocoa, graham crackers. Slick body, toasted malt, dark chocolate, marshmallows, nice sweetness, boozy finish, very nice.

Can shared at Lucky Bamboo. Pours a thick, deep brown to black with a small bit of foam. Deep dark chocolate forward nose with some light cherry as it warms. Cacao nib, roasted coffee and milk chocolate on the palate. Thick and roasty. Sweetness is there, but not too overwhelming. Carbonation a little low. Lingering cherry. --- Beer merged from original tick of Black Forest Cake Stout on 10 Mar 2018 at 19:12 - Score: 7
