Description
A neighborhood institution and a Portland favorite for over 20 years. Find our beers distributed throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Alameda Brewhouse is a brewpub in the heart of the Beaumont Village in Northeast Portland. We have been in business for nine years, offering hand crafted ales and freshly prepared food. All of our beers are produced on location in our 5.5 BBL brewhouse under the watch of headbrewer Carston Haney. He produces a wide variety of beers, from the light, refreshing Siskiyou Golden Ale to the deep, impenetrable Black Bear Double Stout, which won the Gold Medal at the 2003 GABF and the Silver Medal in 2006 and 2008 in the foreign-style stout category. In addition, there is always at least one seasonal beer on tap to fit the mood of the season and one selection served on nitrogen.
Admin Note: Production Facility for distributed beers was located at: 4736 SE 24th Ave Portland, OR 97202

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Dark amber, weak frothy head. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel and something g that seems like cough syrup, but not unpleasant. Taste is pure, unadulterated malts, at first I thought, not much here. But itβs sublime. One of the easiest drinking beers Iβve had in a while. Very pleasant.

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Clear, light golden, head fades to nothing too quickly. Light, weak grainy aroma. Taste brings the styleβs noticeable crisp hoppiness, but it goes to a metallic finish, so itβs kind of spoiled. Had high hopes at first....

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Dark amber, wispy head fades away. Aroma is caramel malts. At first I thought they mistook this for their Vienna, but other reviews back thus up. Taste too is malty, dry, latent bitterness. Not your standard APA, close to an amber ale.

On Tap ratehr dark amber for a pale ale. Thin coarse osandy head. Plenty of toasted and carmelized malts in the aroma and flavor. Modest bitterness and not much in the way of fresh hop flavor.

On Tap clear rich deep dark brown with redish edges. Thin fine light tan head and lacing. Classic roast aromas and flavors. Also that familiar slightly sour note that most porters have. Lingering dark roast slightly sweet campfire trailer.
