Description
BridgePort produces a variety of international style ales, including IPA. BridgePort’s ales are naturally conditioned in the bottle, keg, or cask from which they are served - they’re never force carbonated. The natural conditioning creates ale that is smooth, naturally carbonated, and full of flavor.
Today, BridgePort Brewing Company is one of the top specialty brewers in the state of Oregon. As BridgePort Brewing grew in popularity, it also grew in its brewing capacity from its 600-barrel beginnings to over 100,000 barrels per year. Distribution has grown from Portland to 18 states, and the brewery’s emphasis on producing quality, innovative ales has provided it with an international following and numerous awards.

Cask - Grapefruit and caramel. Cloudy copper with no head. Nice bitterness and caramel with some orange. Bitterness lingers and gets a bit harsh.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy yellow to orange color with a one and a half finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a good two minutes. Damn, I like how this one really lingered and once the head did die, the lacing was sporadic but still in a decent spider web fashion.
The smell starts off with a bitter and spicy hop aroma leading towards a decent \"onion/garlic\" aroma. I mean its nothing bad because I absolutely love onion and garlic.
The taste was bitter with a decent amount of the hops showing the onion flavoring.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a somewhat decent sessionability about it. The carbonation is there for an AIPA and decent to me.
Overall, honestly, I don’t think I’d be able to distinguish between this and Trilogy 2, Aussie Salute. Sorry but at least at the moment, I don’t see the difference, still worthy of having again.

On tap at Bridgeport, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out chocolate upfront, with barely any cherry. Flavour is characterized by chocolate and cherries upfront, with a light roastiness in back. Not the most complex beer, but still decently drinkable and enjoyable. Okay.

On tap at Bridgeport, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry biscuit malt, some citrus zest and a little pine. Flavour is along the same lines, with bitter piney hops and some dry crackery malt. Decently balanced, but ultimately pretty boring. Not so good.

On tap at Bridgeport, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of piney hops, some herbal notes, and a creamy biscuity malt backing. Decent balance, with a good hop profile. Solid IPA.

On tap at Bridgeport, pours a dark clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is full of dry bready malt with a little caramel. Flavour is really metallic and off-flavoured, with some skunky vegetal notes. Dry, but fairly vile flavoured. Not too good.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a touch of an amber hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice earthy citrus and pine note with a touch of light fruit and an underlying earthy grain. Flavor has notes of light citrus and pine with a touch of light fruit and an earthy grain backbone.

Draft at special brews. Pours black with a sour black cherry aroma. Cherry and other fruit flavors with a lasting chocolate background. Sweet at first. Good beer here.
