Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Hazy gold beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has a fine minerally crispness. Light malts, trace of thin creamy sweetness. Orange and marmalade hops. Some light peel bitterness. Mild hop spice.Touch of fresher orange. Light and mildly bitter finish. What grapefruit? Ha! Refreshing.

Keg at London Beer House. It pours hazy amber with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, candied orange, peach, Irn Bru, some spice and cereal. The crisp, bitter, juicy, apricot, peach, tangerine, pine needles, bread and sherbet with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Pretty juicy and tasty. Good one.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s - Bethnal Green. Pours rich orange-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds ripening, tangy citrus fruits, tangerine, lemon. Light sweet flavour with more citrusy tang, grainy pale malts, orange peel. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more tangy citrus and grainy malts, a little marmalade. Almost seems a little off. Nothing special.

Can from The Beerhive. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dried grass (which makes me think of Motueka) and orange peel. Flavour of pineapple, melon and blood orange. Thin body with an oily texture. Light fizz. Crisp and hoppy. Enjoyable.
