[11/10] Bottle. Clear chestnut brown with a tiny beige head at the rim that hangs about. Aroma of dried bananas and brown sugar or dark rum, hazelnuts. I hate bananas but donโ€™t mind dried bananas for some reason. Taste is very sweet and follows the aroma until finishing drying grassy bitterness tidies up very effectively. Hides the alcohol pretty well. Very sweet and could use a bit more carbonation, but hangs together all right. [7/15] Bottle, 7.5% ABV. Otherwise the same.

On tap. This was my favourite at last nightโ€™s Vicotiran Microbrewers showcase. It is very malty, with almost salty chocolate tones. With no real fizz it still feels very full-bodied in the mouth. Iโ€™ll be back for more of this.

Bottle. Dark brown with a small tan head that dissipates. Aroma of chocolate, prunes, cherries, coffee and licorice. Taste has a tiny bit of roasted malt, more dark stewed fruit and chocolate. Silky mouthfeel with just a hint of carbonation. Sweet with a touch of bitterness at the finish. Subtle and good.

Bottle, 8C. Copper with hardly any beige head. Sweet malty aroma also has nectarines, pears and vanilla. Tastes brown sugar sweet with some stone fruit and a little bitterness at the end. The sweetness begins to grate as it warms to a respectable temperature. Close to something very sessionable, but oversweet and could use more carbonation and/or bitterness.

Bottle. Gold with a small white head. Medium bead. Smells of dough and flowers with some sulfur. Very thin body. Hollow malt. Quite a lot of vanilla. Vaguely bitter. Dry finish. Has more character than most German style pils, but is not as harmonious.

Bottle. Brown, disappearing light beige head. Nuts and toast aroma. Just sweet and very nutty flavour. Very mouthfilling malt - with dark fruit, nuts and light roast - but is a long way from cloying. Hints of spice and citrus hops in a subtle finish. Balanced and tasty.

Pours golden amber with a small but persistent head.Nose shows some floral and grassy hops and a slight hint of bready malt. Quite traditional, but still manages to be quite interesting.Quite sweet flavours, with lots of clean malt, but some floral hops do shine through and mix with a dry bready finish.High carbonation, light body - what youโ€™d expect in a pilsener.

Pours brown with a small head.Aroma shows lots of toasty, nutty and roasted malt as well as some oats. Behind this is some light piney hops. I was expecting more hops for an American brown ale, but this is still enjoyable.Flavours are very similar, but very sweet, with very little bitterness. Again, not very American, more of an English brown.Carbonation is low, which suits the beer well.
