(Bottle) Pours pale amber with slight white head. Unpleasant aroma, mainly wet cardboard with hints of corn. Reasonable palate - light body with good carbonation. Taste is better than aroma. There’s a corny cereal backbone with some interesting tangy fruit notes. Very little bitterness, but a hint in the finish. Pretty bad, but drinkable.

"The beer is refreshing and crisp in taste with a small amount of foam when poured from the bottle into the glass. Very mild finish and probably even better when enjoyed on a beach in Samoa." - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com

(Sample from a 1 litre plastic bottle, thanks brunnsbe, 20160726) The beer poure pale golden. Its head was non-existent. Aroma had sweetness, paper and surprising fruity notes. Palate was light bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were paper, wet cardboad and sweetness. A rather well preserved one even though the beer was old. I expected worse.

Bottled (thanks brunnsbe!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is herbal, grassy, some cardboard and mild sweet old malts. Flavour is very similar with also some slight notes of grains.

Enjoyed from bottle with a friend at her place in Honolulu, HI. Happy to have had this one! Unfortunately I’m not a big fan. Looked great, standard lager but with a huge billowy white head, but tasted thin and watered down, but drinkable nonetheless. Again, happy to have had this.

Bottle. Gold with an inch of white head that lasts OK. Clean aroma of hay and light spices. Light bodied. Mild grainy sweetness, pepper, grass. Touch of sourness you often pick up in light lagers. Moderate but slightly harsh bitterness in a dry finish. I guess this is good nick. "May I ask what you expected to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plains?"

330ml bottle into glass. Green bottle, skunk nose. Nose does not get better in the glass. Pale yellow, good head, even carbonation. Chalky mineral water taste. Abrupt slight malt finish. It’s 37 degrees Celsius in Sydney this evening and this beer makes perfect sense right now.

21/IX/2012 - 355ml bottle @ home - BB: 26/X/12 (2012-1060) Thanks to Thomas and Annelies for the bottle!

Clear pale yellowish beer, big creamy white head with some irregular bubbles, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: corn, rice, grains, bit metallic, hay, slightly spicy touch. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: carbon sour first, then sweet sugary, grains, overripe fruits, little bitter. Aftertaste: medicinal bitterness, bit metallic, watery. Meh, another country tick, right? ;-)

Warning! Early amateur rating! Bottle in Raratonga. Unusually sour citrus in this lager but overall has a watery body. Refreshes well though.

35.5 cL bottle, thanks to Papsoe. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Dry cornish and slight grainy aroma. Acidic and slight citric initial flavour followed. Cornish. Citric and sourish finish.
