Bottled. Realy not quite as special as the label indicates. Pours an ambery gold. A dry waterty hoppy taste. Unremarkable.

Bottled (of course). I rather liked this. Pours a reddish darkish shade w/smallish head. Aroma is some chox & malts, and somethng else - Wattle? Who knows what wattle smells like outside of Oz? Not me. Taste I guess is similar but faintly herby? SOme very mild hops. Not too thick, not much aftertaste. Enjoyable.

I thought this was a pretty decent lager. Very smooth and drinkable. Better than most aussie export junk we get here.

From Apr 2008
This pours from 330 ml bottle(best by 04/24/08) a clear amber brown with a 2 finger head of billowy foam that doesn't appear to be going any where soon. Yep, great head retention with some good lacing.
The smell is *very* malty. I can also smell notes of milk chocolate.
The taste is on the sweet side as I'm getting some caramel malt, chocolate, and another sweetness that I can't put into words properly. Must be the Wattle seed. OK, I'm getting some nutty notes now that I didn't notice in the initial sips...kind of like hazelnut(me a big fan of Rogue HN) and that's kicking up the drinkability factor for me but just a bit. This is not something I would want to try to session on. For a lack of better words, it's too unusual.
It has a medium mouthfeel, the carbonation is lightly done, and it finishes with a mix of sweetness and nuttiness and the mf gets a bit watery. I like it but I don't think I could drink more than 1 at a sitting. Maybe it will grow on me, who knows.
Cost: US$9.99 a six pack.

From Jul 2007
Purchased at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Collins for US$9.49 a 6 Pack.
It pours from 11.2oz bottle a hazy amber with a nice thick head of foam that hangs around forever and it has plenty of lacing.
The smell is dominated by sweet malt but I also get some good hop nose. It smells very nice.
The taste is yummy. There's the sweet malt I mentioned in the nose and *that's* the first thing I taste on the first sip. About midway through, the hops come into play mainly in the form of citrus that has a nice twang to it, and it first balances the malt and then takes the forefront in flavour. The finish is bitter and the aftertaste is long lasting and tasty. I really like this ESB and I'm glad I found this at the store. It's probably the best Aussie drop I've had to date. :^) And the low alcohol content helps to make this a great session beer. I could drink it all night long...

330ml bottle into tulip. Faint wheat/citrus nose. Cloudy pale amber beer with thin film on top. Medium carbonation. Zingy and watery in the mouth. Taste is lightly citric with some malt present. Finish is a little floral, touch of musk sticks perhaps. It’s just a bit too polite, needs a bit of body.

Bottled@EBF2008 (backlog). Pale amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is fruits, toffee and some nectary notes. Flavour is tropical fruits, wood, toffee, herbs and some mild grassy and bready notes.

Bottled@EBF2008 (backlog). Reddish copper colour, mediumsized off-white to beige head, that leaves lace. Aroma is nutty, caramelly, some crystal maltyness as well as some spicyness. Flavour follows the same pattern, but considering it’s 5.8 %, it has got a very thin palate.

Pours nearly clear amber with a short, off-white head. Scent is fruit, malt. Taste is slightly bready, overripe sweet fruit. Grassy hop bitter. Fairly decent.
