330ml bottle @ Blind Tiger, Shrewsbury. Pours black with large off-white head. Aroma is hoppy milky roast. Taste continues with a lovely smooth milky mouthfeel, good hop colours and decent coffee integration. Not overly flavoursome but in a good way. Easy-drinking Summer evening beer.

330ml can @ Blind Tiger, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy amber, large white head. Aroma is smooth limey lemon. Taste continues with good hoppy cascade flavours and additional lemon, lime and passionfruit. Like Fin says, this comes across more like a smooth hoppy pale than a lager. Very American hop-focussed. Good stuff.

330ml bottle from Purple Moose brewery shop, Porthmadog. Pours murky brown, small ring of white lace. Hoppy, herbal spicy nose. Light, watery mouthfeel. Herbal, grainy, spicy, muddy malts. Flavours quickly fade. Not the best first impression of this brewery.

Bottle picked up at Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham last week, consumed at the Camping and Caravan Club site, Canterbury, Kent, Saturday 12th March 2016 Pours hazy gold/warm gold with a white head. Lovely aroma, fruity, tropical, there is almost a soft creaminess to this also, lovely fruity, sweet fruity cocktail type flavours. Tastes bloody good for a session IPA and it begs the question can Crafty Devil do no wrong? A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Can picked up at Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham Saturday 5th March 2016 consumed at home Sunday 6th March 2016 Pours hazy murky dark gold light amber with a filmy white head. A little sweet, it’s hoppy but doesn’t strike me as so very lager like, that said it is another damn good beer. Pushy hoppiness throughout Cascade and Centennial showing, this tastes like a very good amber, I genuinely wish I could get a bit more lager malts showing, I like the steely flintiness of those, but I like it regardless. Hoppy burps aplenty. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov15 3.6

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham, West Midlands, Friday 4th March 2016 Hazy gold a wishy washy washed out few, some the lemon flavours. Sticky, clingy, wheat head. Soft mouthfeel, some initial sweetness, but hops are really being restrained on a long leash. Lovely pithiness, dry, it’s very good. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Keg at BDSB - London. Pours hazy orange-gold with a lasting, frothy white head. Rich and somewhat dank hops in the aroma, with notes of pine, ripe orange, sweat, also some bready pale malts, tangerine, apricot. Medium sweet flavor with moderate pale bread base, slightly gooey hops, pine, ripening citrus, grapefruit, melon, peach, papaya, mellow piney and rindy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Resinous and lightly warming in the finale, with more sticky, dank hop character, more pine, orange, nectarine. Quite a good IPA, with well and expressive hops. On its way to being something pretty special. Nice work.

Keg at BDSB - London. Pours deep black-brown with a creamy tan head. The nose holds well roasted malts, licorice, fresh coffee. Light-medium sweet flavor with hefty bitter dark chocolate, some raisins, dried berries, torched earth and pine, burnt toast. Medium bodied, lightly chewy, with average carbonation. Resinous on the finish, with continuing prominent baking cocoa character, some further burnt but still oily pine, orange rind, hints of dried dark fruits. A really solid CDA overall. Nicely layered.

Keg at BDSB - London. Pours unclear yellow-gold with a creamy white head. Great aroma on this one, pleasant dankness, peach, melon, pee, grapefruit. Light sweet flavor with good biscuity pale malt structure, some juicy and pithy citrus elements, lemon meringue, a little cat piss, pale bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, with more straight ahead biscuits, lemon rind, melon, peach, tangerine, light bitter hay. Great stuff overall. Expressive hops with a solid basket of biscuity pale malts to hold it together. Solid.
